Notable past members

Sara Seršen (PhD in 2016; presently researcher @ Lek)

Her work during PhD studies encapsulated mainly ruthenium complexes with O-O ß-diketonate ligands, which exhibited catalytic and bioactive properties. Her work is the basis of continued research into diketonate ligands at the Turel group.

Marija Živković (guest postdoc researcher from the University of Kragujevac, Serbia; dec. 2014 – jul. 2015)

holding a PhD in Chemical Sciences, obtained in 2012 @ Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac, Serbia, she works on synthesis and structural characterization of Pt(II) and Pd(II) complexes, the investigations of their reactions with biologically important ligands (such as histidine- and methionine-containing peptides) and the study of their biomedical applications.
